The final (technology) roadmapping report complements the findings of the dairy meat and beverage roadmap reports by providing suggestions to address the technological needs in three main opportunity areas identified across the three application roadmaps:- Chemical and biochemical electronic sensors,
– Microorganism detection
– Tracking & tracing systems.

It includes information on the types of devices that are needed as well as a roadmap for guiding the technological developments within the next 3 to 10 years. The report starts with a review of the demand and the offer for microsystems in the food sector. It also includes a business case to illustrate how a company can successfully take advantage of microsystems developments in the food sector.
